Hi, thanks for being here.

This site started as a female bike fitter directory and very quicky evolved into a full website with resources, because it simple made sense.

In the fall of 2017, I started a website called EmpoweHer Cycling. There were interviews with female cyclists, tips and resources and I was working on a community. Ultimately, it was not the right timing and while I was still actively promoting and advocated for women who ride bikes, it has been done under my main work site and socials. It worked well enough, and many women indicated there was no need for a separate site dedicated to women who ride bikes.

Fast forward to the start of February 2026. The idea for a female bike fitter directory came about after reading an article titled 'How more women in bike fitting could change more than just the gender gap' by Suvi Loponen. It made sense to create something that highlights female bike fitters because they are so few of us, and visibility matters for so many reasons.

The same goes for female cyclists. We need to take space, but perhaps we also need a space of our own.

With the female bike fitter directory in place, it just made sense to keep going right away and create a website with a resource area (I have more plans, too). The timing wasn't quite right 8 years ago, but it feels great right now.

The bike fitter directory is here. Check it out if you are looking to connect with a female bike fitter and/or if you are one and you would like to be included.

And of course, subscribe to get updates and resources, specific for women who work in the cycling industry and all women who ride bikes in your inbox ↷

I can't wait to grow this site and share as many resources as possible with you. If you would like to contribute or have specific topics you want to see covered, please get in touch. I would love to connect with you.
